We had a little party to break in the smoker. We smoked all kinds of meat, but the star of the show was the brisket. Peter prepped a ten pounder the night before with a rub. He put it on the smoker at 11am and at 6pm we were digging it. Friends brought sides and wine. They even braved the sleet. Yes, sleet. Thank goodness for Nevada weather, no storm lasts more than a few minutes.
We had our own little Beer Garden. And a few friends came in costume.
We’d like to do this again next October, perhaps at Crissy Caughlin park and earlier in the day. Anybody want to take it on with us?
